You will be a member of the procurement team responsible for Aviation Support Solutions and Aircraft Maintenance. You will act as a Strategic Purchaser with part of your role focusing on being Point of Contact for product within our product portfolio, Aviation Services. The role will give you opportunities to build an extensive network, both internally and externally.
Task will include:
Point of Contact for a product category towards corresponding business units and development- and production project managers.
Managing your own supplier base.
Supporting the Business Units projects, programs and business development with commercial responsibility and to continuously evaluate the market competitiveness of the current supplier portfolio.
Be responsible for negotiating, actively managing and further developing our supplier agreements.
Establish and continuously develop strategies for your supplier base and category.
Manage cross-functional teams focusing on effectiveness and cost savings.
Assure that the Saab purchasing strategy, purchasing policy and procedures are fulfilled.
To thrive in this role, you are a business oriented person with great communication skills. You are used to efficiently collaborating with team members as well as other stakeholders. You are structured and have an analytical mindset enabling you to adapt to circumstances, experience from Support and Business Development as well as from working with complex and often-international business development cases.
- University degree in Engineering or Economics.
- Experience from strategic purchasing.
- Experience from the Aviation industry.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written.
- Aviation Maintenance.
- Experience from project management.
- Experience from leading others.
- Experience with IFS.
This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.

The role is part of Support Solutions, a department within Business Unit Aviation Services. We work with a broad scope, spanning over the entire life cycle with civil and military aircraft, both helicopters and fixed wing. We specialize in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, modifications and services for the entire need of an operator. We are located mainly in Sweden on several locations. Our main sites are in Linköping, Malmslätt, Nyköping, Östersund and Ljungbyhed but are also represented abroad. Support Solutions employ around 250 people today.
